To maintain your fillings you should follow good oral hygiene practices and visit your dentist regularly for cleanings. Additionally, make sure to brush with a toothpaste containing fluoride, and floss at least once daily.
If your dentist suspects that a filling might be cracked, he or she will take x-rays to assess the situation. If your tooth is extremely sensitive, you feel a sharp edge, you notice a crack in the filling, or a piece of the filling is missing, call your dentist for an appointment.

I just started seeing Dr. Acierno a few months ago (and need a lot of work done). I’ve been to a handful of dentists in the last decade and let me say that Dr. Acierno and his practice are INCREDIBLE! I was running late from work/traffic to an appointment, so I called ahead to give a heads up. They were so sweet about it. I got there about 10 minutes late and I was still seen almost immediately! Dr. Acierno has done a few fillings and a crown for me, all have been done amazingly and fast! I couldn’t believe I was only in the chair for about a half hour for a filling removal/crown with a temp the other day! I’d honestly give more stars if I could!

I am so glad I found Acierno Family Dental! Dr. Sydney & her assistants have the best bedside manner. They always make sure I am comfortable and pain free during fillings. I have had bad experiences in the past with fillings but Dr. Sydney makes sure that I am not in any pain. She throughly explains what she will be doing and is always on time. The ladies at the front desk are very knowledgeable & are great with scheduling.
